Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32

Free Desktop Clock is more than satisfactory, and in one way (at least) it is excellent: these tired old eyes really appreciate the change of scenery! I had not realized how much I wanted to change the tray clock; perhaps it is possible to be bored and not realize it, but the default click changes that look at a snap. Having our taskbar transparent is also quite unexpectedly pleasing. It was a delightful discovery during an evening of searching for something different. Thanks! (note that some comments about limitations that the others made are true enough...) We like it!!!
--g♥

Shows the time including seconds. Ideal for last minute bids on ebay. The standard XP clock on my computer showed only hours and minutes - no use for last minute action on ebay.
Would have been nicer with a slightly more compact display. There are multi choices of style and font size, but all seem to be well spread out, making the clock take up quite a lot of the taskbar, especially when you have the date and day showing also.
However, it seems to be the dogs dangly bit's for providing a really useful display.
Well worth trying if you need a clock showing seconds.

Free Desktop Clock 2.2 works as you might expect. It is an alternative to the standard system tray clock with a few user tunable features. Essentially it offers the user a limited variety of skins (many of which I found unappealing or extremely hard to read) and the ability to display the date and time, seconds too. That's about it. It's not really what you might call fancy, by any stretch of the imagination, but it functions well and is an alternative to the standard system clock.

What do you want? It's free!

Once I found the right website and got it downloaded I am totally happy with the Free Desktop Clock. I will have to play with it a little more to figure out all the features but just love what I have learned to date. I wanted to replace the original clock so that I had not only had the time but the day of the week and date of the month. I did have a few problems trying to find the website when I lost the original download and needed to send the info to a friend. Please hope that everything will stay in place.
I wish the website was simplier to follow to do the download. I have had my computer for a number of years but am still a novice when it comes to doing some things. It worked fine until I went looking for your site to refer a friend and that was when I couldn't find the original one I used and finally lost my download and had to start over. Your download isn't exactly like my first download but is very close to it so I went with it and is working out just fine. Just keep your fingers crossed that we can get this clock on my friend's computer.
